Convoy Fleet

Application of SDRs in Convoy Inter-communication
Vehicle-mounted SDRs deployed on moving convoy vehicles can rapidly form a multi-hop relay, multi-service, high-reliability, and high-mobility broadband wireless transmission network within a very short time after being powered on. This network ensures simultaneous inter-vehicle communication, providing users with independent, secure, efficient, and timely services including voice communication, data transmission, and video surveillance.

The system supports dynamic networking while the convoy is in motion. As vehicles randomly enter or exit the formation and the convoy shape continuously changes, the network topology rapidly adapts without being constrained by these variations. Communication between vehicles remains uninterrupted. Meanwhile, the command vehicle node can monitor live video from inside other vehicles, their front views, and road conditions. It can also transmit any selected video feed from the convoy back to a remote command center via a satellite-on-the-move system.

The strong resistance to multipath interference makes the system highly adaptable to the complex and variable wireless transmission environments encountered by convoys. Utilizing diffraction and multipath transmission, it ensures reliable communication even in obstructed non-line-of-sight scenarios.
